Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using Class B trucks, including roll-offs, tankers, and vans. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday with potential overnight shifts based on routes and customer needs.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements (or the ability to obtain within 90 days), and the ability to pass a 40-hour HAZWOPER training.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements or able to obtain within 90 days from hire.
• Must pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
• Perform LTL pickups and ensure proper loading.
• Maintain driver documents such as logs, permits, trip reports, and manifests.
• Comply with DOT regulations for hazardous waste collection, packaging, labeling and transportation.
• Adhere to state weight limits and safe vehicle operation.
• Utilize company mobile apps and onboard systems for maintenance and operation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction and support site safety.
