Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Supervisory Waste Operations role focused on leading lab depack/repack of waste feeds to maximize revenue while ensuring safe practices and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate with kiln operations, enforce environmental and safety standards, and supervise a team responsible for waste handling, tracking, and reporting.

The position requires a BS in Chemistry or related science (or equivalent experience) and 4–6 years in hazardous waste.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (DOT, EPA, TSCA, OSHA)
• Ability to assess site capabilities and optimize waste treatment/shipping
• Proficient computer skills for data and reporting
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid time management to meet multiple deadlines
• Customer service-oriented and leadership capabilities
• Ability to prepare and present reports as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead lab depack/repack of waste feed to maximize revenue in a safe manner
• Coordinate and meet kiln waste feed plan
• Ensure waste tracking compliance
• Manage waste discrepancies and rejects
• Ensure employees wear proper PPE during duties
• Respond to emergencies as required
• Enforce OSHA, EPA, DOT and other regulations
• Attend and arrange required training courses
• Oversee operation and maintenance of equipment
• Assist training of team members to meet performance standards
• Maintain professional image when interacting with clients
