Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a Field Operations Supervisor to oversee field teams responsible for packing, labeling, manifesting and shipping hazardous waste from client sites to disposal centers.

You will ensure compliance with DOT/EPA and OSHA, train staff, manage daily schedules, coordinate transportation, sampling, profiling, and remediation activities, and maintain safety, efficiency and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2 to 4 years of hazardous waste experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads teams in packing, labeling, manifesting and shipping hazardous waste from customer sites to disposal centers.
• Ensure compliance with DOT/EPA and company policies; enforce health and safety procedures.
• Maintain professional communications with internal and external customers daily.
• Understand disposal site capabilities and limitations for efficient waste handling and storage.
• Ensure completion of DOT/EPA and company paperwork to expedite disposal of hazardous waste materials.
• Complete mandatory OSHA training and keep refresher courses up to date.
• Operate and maintain equipment to complete projects efficiently and on time.
• Assist in training lower level field personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
