Job summary

Clean Harbors in La Porte, TX is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety-conscious team. You will perform hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials in field conditions.

New hires attend a paid one-week Academy training, possibly out of state, with expenses covered by the company. The role features on-call emergency response and potential overtime to support operations.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and ability to perform physical tasks.
• On-call duties including emergency response and possible weekend/holiday work.
• Background check, drug test, and physical required per position.
• Compliance with respirator standards per OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety remains the top priority.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor and operate a range of tools and equipment.
• Work in varied weather, indoors and outdoors, and in potentially hazardous environments.
• Attend safety updates and training sessions; participate in field sampling and calibration where needed.
• Perform on-call emergency response on rotation and assist in site remediation and decontamination.
