Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. in Gilroy, CA is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety-conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

You will operate light to heavy equipment, wear PPE, and work in various weather conditions. On-call emergency response is required on a rotating basis, with potential extended hours.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation

• Complete background check, drug test, and physical
• Adhere to OSHA respirator facial hair standards

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety as top priority by following policies
• Perform strenuous physical labor, lifting heavy objects
• Operate equipment and use hand and powered tools
• Wear PPE including respirators and protection gear
• Work in varied temperatures and weather conditions
• Respond to emergency on-call shifts every other week
