Job summary

Clean Harbors in Hutto, TX is seeking a Field Services Technician I to perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation and decontamination in the field. The role requires physical exertion, operation of field equipment and strict adherence to safety policies.

The position includes two-week paid Academy training (could be out of state) and benefits such as health coverage after 30 days, 401K with company match, stock purchase plan, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation
• Ability to perform physical functions per Key Responsibilities
• Be on-call for emergency response as required, including weekends/holidays
• Background check, drug test and physical per position requirements
• Facial hair standards per OSHA respirator policy

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and always acting safely
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects
• Operate light/heavy equipment and a range of hand tools and powered tools
• Wear and use PPE, including respirators and other protections
• Work in various temperatures, indoors and outdoors in all weather
• Handle hazardous materials and assist in field sampling and calibration of meters
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and work from trucks, tanks and containers
• Work extended hours (>8 hrs) and on-call rotating shifts
• Attend compliance and safety update meetings
• Observe regulatory requirements and company guidelines
• Support site remediation, equipment decontamination and waste handling
