Job summary

Hepaco a Clean Harbors company in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Field Services Technician II to join our safety conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

This position requires attending a paid two-week Academy training (out of state possible) with expenses covered by the company.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check, drug test, and physical.
• On-call requirement; may work weekends and holidays; extended shifts possible.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following policies and acting safely.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use a range of tools and PPE.
• Wear and properly use PPE including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Possess the ability to work around hazardous materials and in potentially noisy environments.
• Climb ladders, scaffolding, and enter trucks and tanks as needed.
• Complete paperwork such as worksheets and inspections accurately.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
