Job summary

Clean Harbors EnviroServe in Columbus, OH is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety conscious team. This role performs tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials in the field.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, operating equipment, heavy lifting, and field sampling. On-call emergency response may be required; benefits and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• On-call availability, including occasional weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and work in a safe manner.
• Engage in physical labor including lifting heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use various hand tools.
• Wear PPE including respirators and training as required.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and vary temperatures.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and enter tanks or trucks.
• Be on-call for emergency response on rotating basis.
