Job summary

Clean Harbors in El Paso, TX is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety-conscious team. This role performs tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials, in the field.

Starting pay ranges from $20 to $22 per hour, with comprehensive benefits after 30 days and 401(k) company matching. This position requires two weeks of out-of-state academy training, and on-call emergency response on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks and lift heavy objects.
• Willing to be on-call for emergency response; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Complete background check, drug test, and medical physical as required by position.
• Experience in hazardous waste clean-up or site remediation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety by following policies and procedures.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use PPE in diverse environments.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters as needed.
• Safely load/unload waste and ensure regulatory compliance during operations.
