Job summary

Clean Harbors in Colton, CA is seeking a Field Services Technician I to support hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, and equipment decontamination in field conditions. The role requires strict safety adherence and the ability to work in various weather, with potential on-call emergency response.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, handling PPE, performing sampling and calibration tasks, and following regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to perform physical functions per responsibilities.
• Emergency response may be required; on-call, weekends/holidays possible.
• Background check, drug test, and fitness assessment mandatory if selected.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following policies and operating safely.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor and operate light/heavy equipment and tools.
• Wear and use PPE including respirators and protective gear in varying conditions.
• Work in different temperatures, outdoors/indoors, and in areas with potential chemical exposure.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and work from trucks, tanks, and other containers.
• Support field sampling and calibration of meters; assist in site remediation and decontamination.
• Be on-call for emergency response on a rotating basis; perform other duties as assigned.
