Job summary

Clean Harbors in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

Please note: this position requires new hires to attend our two week Academy training out of state. Expenses are covered by the company and it is paid training.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license and clean MVR.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical functions per Key Responsibilities.
• Emergency response duties and potential weekend/holiday work.
• Background check, drug test, and physical required per position.
• Respiratory protection standards compliance.
• Previous relevant labor experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow all policies.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand and power tools.
• Wear and use PPE including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors.
• Handle hazardous materials and perform waste sampling and profiling as needed.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and access trucks, tanks, and containers.
• Be on-call for emergency response on rotating basis.
• Attend compliance and safety meetings.
