Job summary

Clean Harbors seeks a Traveling Field Services Technician I to perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials. This role travels 60-80% across the United States and attends a two-week training academy with travel expenses paid by the company.

Hourly range is $20.00–$25.00. Clean Harbors provides comprehensive health benefits after 30 days, 401K with company match, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Qualifications

• Asbestos Certifications (preferred).
• Reliable transportation.
• Experience in asbestos abatement and/or mold remediation required.
• Strong understanding of asbestos abatement procedures and safety regulations.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities.
• Emergency on-call; may work weekends/holidays; could exceed 8 hours.
• Background check, drug test, and physical may be required.
• OSHA Respiratory Protection standard compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and acting safely.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand tools and power tools.
• Wear and use PPE appropriately (respirators, skin/eye protection).
• Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather.
• Work with potentially hazardous chemical and physical agents.
• Work at elevations and in confined spaces; ladders/scaffolding.
• Assist in field sampling activities and calibrations.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and access tanks and containers.
• Be on-call for emergency response on rotation.
• Site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous material handling.
