Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a Service Manager to oversee the facility’s safety, regulatory compliance and operational performance. You will coordinate with sales, service, accounting and safety groups to meet permits, revenue and safety goals while leading a skilled staff in waste handling and treatment processes.

Responsibilities include supervising crews, monitoring schedules, ensuring compliance with permits, training personnel, and coordinating emergency response.

Qualifications

• Must pass a DEA background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Experience leading safety, health, and environmental programs.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or biosciences preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ management experience in a hazardous waste setting.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work to production crews and supervises their activities during shifts.
• Audits performance for quality, safety conformance and resource utilization.
• Drive health, safety and environmental performance improvements.
• Manage staff with HR collaboration including onboarding and development.
• Monitor schedules and coordinate work across shifts.
• Ensure regulatory compliance in receiving, handling, storing, and transporting materials.
• Oversee safety training, site inspections, and incident investigations.
• Lead emergency response planning and incident communications.
• Develop waste profiles and coordinate compliant loads and shipments.
• Perform related tasks as assigned by management.
