Job summary

Arcwood Environmental, LLC is seeking a Field Chemist to sort and transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste, ensuring safety and compatibility in all processes for customer services. The position reports to the Field Office and will be dispatched to projects in the region, returning to the office daily.

Eligibility includes an Associate degree (Bachelor’s preferred), 2+ years of related experience if no degree, and a valid Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a Class B CDL

Qualifications

• Associates degree is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience if no degree is held.
• Valid Driver’s License with ability to obtain a Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement within 6 months.
• Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

Responsibilities

• Sort and transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste with attention to compatibility and safety.
• Follow policies to prioritize health and safety during all tasks.
• Assist in segregation of chemicals by hazard class and pack materials for transportation; complete paperwork.
• Determine supplies for jobs and travel to various sites to perform lab pack services.
• Assist in characterizing materials at field project sites.
• Adhere to placarding and load segregation requirements when transporting hazardous materials.
• Communicate effectively with site contacts and guide Field Technicians / Drivers.
• Maintain knowledge of high-hazard materials management and cylinder handling.
