Job summary

Arcwood Environmental, LLC is seeking a Field Chemist responsible for sorting and transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials, ensuring safety and proper handling. You will be dispatched to regional projects, report back to the field office daily, and support lab pack services with appropriate paperwork and proper segregation.

The role requires an Associates degree (or 2+ years related experience), a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement

Qualifications

• Associates degree (required); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience (required) in lieu of degree.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement within 6 months of hire date (required).
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check to company standards (required).
• Due to potential exposure to atmospheres/waste/materials, must be clean shaven to don respirator.

Responsibilities

• Sort and transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste, ensuring compatibility and safety.
• Dispatch to projects in the region and report back to the field office daily.
• Assist in segregation of chemicals by hazard class and prepare for transportation; complete paperwork.
• Load supplies for job completion and travel to sites for lab pack services.
• Assist in characterizing materials at field sites and maintain proper placarding and load segregation.
