Job summary

AMD invites motivated undergraduates or PhD students to join as a Masters Hardware Design Verification Engineering Intern/Co-op. You will contribute to the design, verification, and delivery of AMD’s high-end Machine Intelligence products, collaborating with senior engineers on challenging projects.

Locations include Austin, Boxborough, Fort Collins, Longmont, Fishkill, Rochester, Secaucus; the role can be hybrid or onsite and requires full-time commitment during the term.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a United States university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Strong programming/scripting skills in C++, Python, C, Perl, Shell, or UVM.
• Knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog and digital design fundamentals.
• Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows and lab equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to build and complete verification plans and test cases.
• Write scripts to track compute resources (Perl/Python).
• Test regression flows (Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP).
• Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance and efficiency.
• Support debugging and improve test cases and Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Build test platforms and perform system-level testing.
• Production validation of hardware and software functionalities.
