Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) invites motivated hardware design verification interns/co-ops to join our AI ecosystem. You will work across multiple locations in the US, contributing to design, build and delivery of AMD’s high-end Machine Intelligence products.

As an intern/co-op, you’ll gain real-world experience, learn new skills, and network with experts. You’ll engage in hands-on debugging, system-level testing, and tooling to accelerate project milestones.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a US university as an undergraduate in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with C++, Python, Perl, Shell and UVM.
• Knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog and digital systems.
• Familiar with Linux/Unix/Windows environments.
• Hands-on hardware lab experience with oscilloscopes and lab meters.

Responsibilities

• Develop verification test plans, simulation test cases and models with senior engineers.
• Write scripts for tracking compute resources using Perl/Python.
• Test regression flows using Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP to support projects.
• Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance and team efficiency.
• Support debugging and improve test cases/models and Verilog/SystemVerilog coding.
• Build test platforms and perform system-level testing.
• Validate hardware/software functionalities for production readiness.
• Engage in low-level testing of features using debugging tools.
