Job summary

AMD invites motivated interns/co-ops to join our hardware design verification team. You will work on verification plans, design and deliver test cases for high-end machine intelligence products, collaborating with senior engineers across multiple domains.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a US-based Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with strong knowledge of C/C++, Python, Verilog/SystemVerilog, and Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a US-based Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience with C/C++, Python, Perl or shell scripting is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Verilog/SystemVerilog, digital logic, and HDL concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to build and complete verification test plans and models.
• Write scripts to track compute resources using Perl/Python.
• Test regression flows using Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP to support project development.
• Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance and efficiency.
• Support debugging and development of test cases and Verilog/SystemVerilog code.
• Build test platforms and perform system-level testing.
• Validate hardware/software integration for production readiness.
• Engage in low-level testing of hardware/software features and root-cause analysis.
