Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) seeks motivated Hardware Design Verification Engineering interns/co-ops in San Jose/Santa Clara to contribute to high-end Machine Intelligence products. You will engage in design, build, and delivery activities that impact end-users worldwide.

This role offers hands-on work across verification test plans, scripting in Perl/Python, and debugging hardware/software interfaces with full-time hours in hybrid or onsite settings for Spring/Summer and Summer/Fall terms.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a United States university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Knowledge of C++, Python, C, Perl, Shell, and UVM in a hardware verification context.
• Familiarity with Verilog/SystemVerilog and digital design concepts.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and basic lab instrumentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to build and complete verification test plans and models.
• Write scripts in Perl/Python to track compute resources and automate tests.
• Support regression flows and debugging across hardware/software interfaces.
• Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance and efficiency.
• Build test platforms and perform system-level verification of HW/SW features.
