Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) invites motivated students to join as Hardware Design Verification Engineering intern/co-op in the San Jose/Santa Clara area, with hybrid or onsite work during the term. You will contribute to verification planning, scripting, and regression for AMD’s high-end machine intelligence products.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, write Perl/Python scripts, review tools, and help validate hardware and software components across Linux/Unix environments.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a United States based University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or Computer engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of C++, Python, or other scripting languages and hardware design basics.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced hardware design environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to build verification test plans and models.
• Write scripts in Perl/Python to track and manage compute resources.
• Test regression flows using Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP to support project development.
• Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance and team efficiency.
• Support debugging and improving test cases for Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Build test platforms and perform system-level testing.
• Production validation of integrated hardware and software functionalities.
