Job summary

AMD invites talented students to join our Hardware Design Verification team as interns or co-ops across multiple U.S. locations, including Rochester, NY.

You will contribute to design, build, and delivery of AMD’s high‑end machine intelligence products, working with engineers on verification plans and test cases. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a US university pursuing Electrical or Computer Engineering, with experience in C/C++, Python, Verilog/SystemVerilog, and Linux environments.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a United States university in a Bachelor's program majoring in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with C++, Python, Verilog/SystemVerilog, and Linux/Unix.
  • Ability to work in a team and learn new tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to build and complete verification test plans and models.
  • Write scripts related to tracking and managing compute resources using Perl/Python.
  • Test regression flows using Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP to support project development.
  • Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance and team efficiency.
  • Support debugging and improving test cases/models and Verilog/systemVerilog coding.
  • Build test platforms and perform system level testing.
  • Perform production validation tasks for hardware/software integration.
  • Engage in low level testing of hardware/software features and identify root causes.
