Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Supervisor, Hardware Reliability (Starlink) to lead a team of technicians and specialists responsible for root causing production failures on Starlink hardware. You will own the day-to-day operations of the production root cause lab and drive improvements that directly enhance product reliability and manufacturing quality.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong problem-solving, and experience with electrical systems and PCBAs in high-volume hardware environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality or reliability experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on electrical systems and PCBAs.
• Experience training and developing technicians or junior engineers.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of reliability technicians and specialists performing root cause analysis on electrical systems and PCBAs.
• Drive root cause findings into actionable improvements with manufacturing and design teams to reduce failure rates and improve yield.
• Own day-to-day operations of the production root cause lab, including technician scheduling, equipment maintenance, lab organization (5S), and resource planning.
• Develop and implement new processes and tools that improve the team’s ability to root cause electrical failures.
• Establish clear priorities across multiple shifts and ensure timely communication of findings and recommendations to production stakeholders.
• Define and track team performance metrics and key indicators, holding the team accountable to measurable outcomes.
