Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer, Hardware Reliability to own the reliability of Starlink hardware from factory to field. You will lead a team, set strategy, and drive cross‑functional improvements across design, manufacturing and testing.

Responsibilities include developing qualification strategies, conducting RF/PCB/system tests, automating analyses, and mentoring engineers to raise technical standards, while ensuring ISO quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, materials, manufacturing, aerospace or related engineering.
• 2+ years delivering complex engineering projects in design qualification, manufacturing or reliability.
• 1+ year in a leadership role leading 3+ engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team focused on hardware reliability and field performance for Starlink products.
• Develop reliability qualification strategies for new and existing products to maximize field life.
• Design and execute environmental, mechanical, electrical, RF and system reliability tests.
• Automate reliability test execution, data analysis and reporting.
• Define and monitor reliability testing strategies and field metrics.
• Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective actions to reduce risk.
