Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Hardware Reliability Specialist for Starlink production. You will own production quality and reliability across high-volume manufacturing, driving RCA, containment, and continuous improvement to ensure a fast, dependable internet terminal for homes and businesses.

You will collaborate with manufacturing engineering, design, supply chain, and QA to reduce defects, transition products to high-volume production, and uphold ISO 9001 standards while working shifts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or science or 2+ years in hands-on engineering or quality.
• Experience with hardware root cause investigation in manufacturing.
• Experience reading electrical PCBA schematics and mechanical tolerance stacking.
• Basic familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and monitor FPY and yield.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills across cross-functional groups.

Responsibilities

• Execute non-conformance management and MRB processes across Starlink lines.
• Analyze production defect data and drive root cause and corrective actions.
• Assist production with developing process improvements and provide training to production technicians.
• Monitor FPY and true yield to maintain a stable production environment.
• Ensure successful transition of products from development to high-volume production.
• Build relationships with manufacturing engineering, design engineering, supply chain, and customer support to reduce defects.
• Perform area audits in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
