Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices in Austin, TX seeks a highly motivated Hardware Design Verification engineering intern/co-op to join our team and work toward design, build, and delivery of AMD’s high-end Machine Intelligence products. In this role you will participate in multiple assignments including test plan development and verification.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, write scripts (Perl/Python), test regression flows (Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP), and review tools to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a United States university pursuing Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Knowledge of C/C++, Python, Perl, and scripting for test automation.
• Familiarity with Verilog/SystemVerilog, and digital logic concepts.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and basic hardware testing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to build and complete verification test plans and models.
• Write scripts to track compute resources using Perl/Python.
• Test regression flows using Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP for project work.
• Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance and efficiency.
• Assist debugging and validation of hardware/software functions and test platforms.
• Perform system-level testing and production validation tasks.
• Engage in low-level hardware/software testing and root-cause analysis.
