Job summary

AMD is seeking a highly motivated Hardware Design Verification engineering intern/co-op to contribute to the design, build, and delivery of high-end Machine Intelligence products. You will work full time in hybrid or onsite settings across designated U.S.

locations, contributing to verification plans, scripting, and system-level testing. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a US university pursuing Electrical or Computer Engineering, with knowledge of Verilog, C/C++, Python, and Linux environments,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a US-based university pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of C/C++/Python, Verilog, and digital design fundamentals is expected.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and test automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop verification test plans and models.
• Write Python/Perl scripts to manage compute resources and test workflows.
• Support regression flows and debugging across hardware/software features.
• Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance and efficiency.
• Assist in building test platforms and performing system-level validation.
• Validate integrated hardware and software functionality for production readiness.
• Engage in low-level testing to identify root causes of issues.
• Document test results and contribute to test coverage improvements.
