Job summary

Center for Human Development is seeking a hands-on Shift Supervisor for The Heron House, an Enhanced Medical Group Living Environment in East Longmeadow, MA. Lead CNAs and Direct Care Staff, participate in resident care, and ensure safe, person-centered support.

You will supervise staff, coordinate shifts, plan activities, and ensure appointments and transportation are completed, while partnering with nursing and clinical teams to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma required; related degree preferred.
• Experience in residential human services or behavioral health required.
• Demonstrated supervisory ability with coaching interest.
• Strong communication, organizational, and crisis-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise CNAs and Direct Care Staff during assigned shift.
• Support activities of daily living and maintain person-centered care.
• Organize staff assignments, manage call-outs, and coordinate activities.
• Ensure timely documentation, incident reporting, and handoffs.
