Job summary
Center for Human Development (CHD) seeks dependable Direct Care Staff to support adults with developmental disabilities in residential homes in MA, including Southwick, Palmer, Meadows Homes in West Springfield. You will provide compassionate care, support independence, and help residents thrive in a safe home.
Roles include ADL support, medication administration after training, and community advocacy. Shifts are 2nd and 3rd, with weekend coverage involved.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for work
- MAP training (current) and CPR/First Aid certifications preferred
- Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift, weekends
- Experience with dementia or behavioral complexities encouraged
- Background check screening required
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living and meal preparation
- Administer prescribed medications following training
- Advocate for residents in community settings
- Build professional, person-centered relationships with residents
- Maintain clean, safe home environment tailored to needs
