MHA (Mental Health Association) in Massachusetts seeks a Shift Supervisor for our community residential program. You will lead staff on shift, model professional behavior, and ensure services align with agency policies while empowering participants toward recovery and independent living.

You will coordinate care, administer medications per MAP standards, assist with daily living activities, document progress, and collaborate with the Program Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, acceptable driving record, and sufficient insurance.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of relevant human services experience required; 1 year preferred, or related degree.
• Previous experience with individuals with mental illness preferred.
• Ability to lead a team, take initiative, and work independently.
• Strong oral, written, organizational, and computer skills.
• Adaptability to meet changing participant needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and compassion.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and support to staff on shift; train, guide, and model professional behavior.
• Assist the Program Supervisor with administrative tasks including scheduling, onboarding, and documentation oversight.
• Participate in developing and implementing Individualized Action Plans (IAPs); document participant progress.
• Support participants with daily living activities including hygiene, cooking, cleaning, and wellness practices.
• Assist participants with accessing community resources and navigating benefit systems such as Social Security and public transit.
• Encourage participant engagement in educational and vocational opportunities.
• Teach self-advocacy and support participants in developing independent living skills.
• Administer and monitor medications in compliance with MAP standards; coordinate healthcare appointments.
• Respond promptly to crises or medical events and follow all agency reporting procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe residential environment; promote participant involvement in upkeep.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation and attend required trainings, team meetings, and supervision sessions.
