Job summary

Center for Human Development (CHD) seeks a Behavioral Health Nurse Supervisor (RN) to lead a nursing team at Heron House in East Longmeadow, MA. This on-site role blends clinical leadership with staff development for residents with complex behavioral health and medical needs.

The ideal candidate will supervise LPNs, ensure compliance, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and provide hands‑on clinical support when needed.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license in good standing.
• 3+ years of nursing experience.
• Supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience with behavioral health or complex medical needs.
• Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight for nursing services within the program.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee assessment, monitoring, and treatment of residents’ needs.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff managing complex cases.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacies, hospitals, and other providers.
• Participate in care planning and clinical decision-making.
• Provide hands-on nursing support as needed to ensure quality care.
• Supervise LPNs and assigned support staff; conduct coaching and development.
