Hands-On Production Floor Leader

Job summary

LHH is assisting a growing healthcare manufacturer in finding a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations on the production floor. You will oversee 50-60 technicians across multiple shifts, driving productivity and ensuring quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include coaching the team, monitoring safety and performance, implementing process improvements, and aligning with cross-functional groups to meet customer demands while maintaining policy discipline.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
• Proven success leading hourly employees and production technicians.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to make decisions and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Experience with production reporting and KPI tracking.
• Experience with Minitab or NAV is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of production technicians on the manufacturing floor.
• Support employees, resolve issues, and ensure efficient workflow.
• Monitor production performance, safety, quality, and goals.
• Drive continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Provide direction, feedback, and coaching as needed.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, attendance, and daily workforce planning.
• Review timekeeping and maintain personnel documentation.
• Track and communicate metrics, productivity, and team performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer demands.
• Maintain structure, adherence to company policies and procedures.
