Our client, a growing healthcare manufacturer, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 50-60 technicians across multiple shifts, driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, and fostering employee development.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of production technicians while promoting a positive and accountable work environment.
- Spend the majority of time on the manufacturing floor supporting employees, resolving issues, and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Monitor production performance, safety, quality, and operational goals.
- Partner with team members to identify process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide clear direction, performance feedback, and corrective coaching when needed.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, attendance, and daily workforce planning.
- Review and approve timekeeping records and maintain accurate personnel documentation.
- Track and communicate operational metrics, productivity results, and team performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address production challenges and meet customer demands.
- Maintain structure, consistency, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, or regulated environment.
- Proven success leading hourly employees and production technicians.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and hold team members accountable.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable making decisions and managing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Experience with production reporting and KPI tracking.
- Experience with Minitab or NAV is a plus.
