Qualifications

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a motivated Production Supervisor Medical Device Manufacturing to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who prefers being on the production floor, coaching employees, solving real-time challenges, and leading by example. Approximately 80% of the day is spent supporting manufacturing operations and technicians, while the remaining time is dedicated to reporting, scheduling, workforce planning, and departmental administration.

The Production Supervisor will lead daily manufacturing operations, oversee hourly employees and technicians, and ensure production goals, quality standards, safety expectations, and delivery commitments are consistently achieved. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who can build accountability, develop talent, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop production employees and technical personnel in a manufacturing environment.
• Drive daily production performance, safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives.
• Manage workforce scheduling, staffing needs, overtime requirements, and shift coordination.
• Monitor workflow, production output, and operational effectiveness to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and employee development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve performance.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams.
• Track and report key performance indicators, labor utilization, and operational metrics.
• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity, efficiency, and process enhancement.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in employee relations, attendance management, and performance management activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years of Production Team Lead, Production Supervisor, or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success managing hourly manufacturing employees and technicians.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and hold employees accountable.
• Excellent organizational, communication, delegation, and workforce planning abilities.
• Proven ability to make decisions, address conflict professionally, and provide direct feedback when necessary.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience utilizing manufacturing reporting systems, ERP platforms, or statistical analysis tools is a plus.
• Previous experience working in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.

Compensation Range: $60,000 - $90,000

Schedule

• First Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Supports manufacturing operations across multiple shifts.
• Must be available to support off-shift personnel as needed.
• Weekend communication and coordination responsibilities as needed.
