Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Utility Person to join our Frederick, MD team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated, and will perform cross-functional duties in plant maintenance, production, and equipment operation.

You will grease and lubricate equipment, maintain housekeeping, operate machinery such as skid steers and loaders, run a water truck to limit dust, and help with loading, shipping, quality control, and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in the building materials industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment and assist with welding under supervision.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe traffic flow around the site.
• Operate equipment (e.g., skid steer, front end loader) and assist with loading, shipping, and quality control.
• Assist in training coworkers and ensure site guidelines are followed.
