Job summary

WestRock Coffee is seeking a Production Trainer to deliver in-class and on-the-job training on machinery and processes on the production floor. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency through hands-on instruction and documentation.

You will train new hires and retrain staff according to process standards, maintain training materials, and generate reports for management. Collaboration with engineers, supervisors, and the operations training team is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of the manufacturing environment and running lines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to train and develop team members through classroom and hands-on instruction.
• Strong communication, public speaking, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of LMS and training systems.

Responsibilities

• Train team members on standards to ensure precision, quality, and safety.
• Conduct and oversee training of newly hired employees.
• Update and retrain employees by documenting Skills Matrices and databases.
• Collaborate with automation, engineers, and supervisors to stay current on lines.
• Develop content for existing and new programs that are practical and interactive.
• Maintain training matrix database and ensure training records are complete.
• Provide training reports and track progress of training projects.
• Adhere to Train the Trainer programs and follow TWI methodology.
• Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement.
• Monitor and mentor trainees during practical exercises and provide immediate feedback.
• Identify skill gaps with production supervisors and tailor training accordingly.
• Ensure training equipment is maintained and safe for instructional use.
