Job summary

Westrock Coffee is seeking a Production Trainer to lead in-class and on-the-job training for production staff on machinery, tooling, and processes. You will train new hires, update skills matrices, and collaborate with engineers and supervisors on content development.

This role spends time on the manufacturing floor and maintains training records. Responsibilities include conducting trainings, maintaining LMS records, and driving continuous improvement while ensuring safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• Understanding of the manufacturing environment and running lines.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required.
• Ability to train and develop team members to improve performance and process times through classroom, hands on instruction.
• Strong communication, public speaking, and organization skills.
• Strategic, analytical, and creative thinker, ability to generate new ideas and approaches to problems.
• Strong work ethic
• Learn and gather information at a fast pace.

• Knowledge of LMS and training systems.

Responsibilities

• Train team members on standards set for their area, so staff can perform their tasks with precision, meet quality standards, and adhere to safety protocols.
• Help conduct and oversee the training of newly hired employees.
• Updating and retraining employees requiring additional training by documenting Skills Matrices and databases.
• Work with automation, engineers, supervisors, etc. to maintain current knowledge on lines.
• Working closely with training supervisor and other partners to develop content for existing & new programs that are practical and interactive.
• Help to maintain training Matrix database.
• Research and resolve issues related to training techniques.
• Help drive training initiatives independently or within a team environment.
• Analyzing processes and data to determine training needs and develop materials.
• Providing training reports and tracking the progress of training or related projects.
• Adhering to the Train the trainer program and follow TWI (Training Within Industry) methodology.
• Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement.
• Develop and monitor trainees during practical exercises, offering immediate feedback to correct techniques and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with production supervisors to identify skill gaps and tailor training to address operational needs.
• Maintain training equipment and ensure it's in safe working conditions for instructional use.
