Job summary

Westrock Coffee Company is seeking a Production Trainer to lead in-class and on-the-floor training for production staff, focusing on safe operation of machinery and processes. The role spends time on the manufacturing floor and interacts with automation, engineers, and supervisors.

You'll develop and maintain training materials, run reports, and participate in audits, while upholding TWI methodology and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have a manufacturing environment understanding.
• Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.
• Ability to train and develop team members to improve performance.
• Strong communication, public speaking, and organizational skills.
• Strategic, analytical, and creative thinker with problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Attention to detail and fast information gathering.
• Knowledge of LMS and training systems.
• Experience in the training field.
• Ability to give/receive constructive criticism related to machinery and work practices.

Responsibilities

• Train team members on standards to ensure precision, quality, and safety.
• Oversee training of newly hired employees.
• Update and retrain employees by documenting Skills Matrices and databases.
• Collaborate with automation, engineers, and supervisors to stay current on production lines.
• Develop content for existing and new training programs that are practical and interactive.
• Maintain training Matrix database.
• Research and resolve training technique issues.
• Drive training initiatives independently or with a team.
• Analyze processes and data to determine training needs and create materials.
• Provide training reports and track progress of training projects.
• Adhere to Train the Trainer programs and follow TWI methodology.
• Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement.
• Monitor trainees during practical exercises and provide immediate feedback.
• Collaborate with supervisors to identify skill gaps and tailor training.
• Maintain training equipment in safe working condition.
