Job summary

WestRock Coffee is seeking a Production Trainer to lead in-class and on-the-job training for production staff on machinery, tools, and processes on the plant floor. This role emphasizes safety and efficiency while ensuring adherence to quality standards.

The trainer will develop materials, maintain records, run reports, and collaborate with supervisors to address skill gaps on ongoing line operations.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of manufacturing environments and line operation.
• Proven ability to train and develop team members to improve performance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with LMS or training systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train team members on standards to ensure task precision, quality, and safety.
• Lead training of newly hired employees and retraining staff as needed.
• Maintain Skills Matrices and training databases with up-to-date records.
• Collaborate with automation, engineers, and supervisors to stay current on line processes.
• Develop and update content for existing and new training programs.
• Maintain and audit the training Matrix database and reports.
• Generate training performance reports and track progress of initiatives.
• Adhere to Train the Trainer and TWI (Training Within Industry) methods.
• Support a culture of Continuous Improvement on the shop floor.
