Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician at our Streetsboro, Ohio facility to support manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated equipment, driving uptime and reliability in a fast-paced plant setting.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, preventive maintenance, and ownership of equipment issues from diagnosis to resolution, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or equivalent experience in installation, setup, and service of computer-controlled equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge in PLC and computer-controlled equipment; Industrial electrical and electronic systems; Pneumatic systems; Mechanical systems and machine repair.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical diagrams, and equipment documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing automated manufacturing equipment.
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments, and collaborate effectively with a team.
• A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous learning across electrical, mechanical, automation, and safety disciplines.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot PC/PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and other industrial control systems.
• Use electrical schematics, technical documentation, and hands-on diagnostic skills to identify root causes and restore equipment to operation.
• Respond to equipment issues and production downtime with a sense of urgency, helping minimize disruptions and maintain plant productivity.
• Take ownership of problems from initial diagnosis through repair, follow-up, and prevention of future failures.
