Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on manufacturing machinery. You will diagnose complex issues in hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC systems, perform preventive maintenance, and fabricate metal parts for production needs.

This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, ability to operate forklifts and manlifts, and adherence to safety standards in a manufacturing plant

Qualifications

• High school graduate supplemented by technical school or apprenticeship in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Minimum of four years of maintenance experience with at least two years in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Must have one year of experience as a Maintenance Associate 5 ("B").
• Knowledge of basic preventive maintenance scheduling and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose root causes of problems in plant machinery and correct issues with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical components and PLCs.
• Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on all machinery.
• Maintain and repair motorized equipment and operate manlifts/forklifts as required.
• Identify parts needed to repair equipment and coordinate ordering and inventory.
• Fabricate metal parts and perform welding as required.
• Participate in plant safety programs and training.
