Job summary

Fill-Rite is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee CNC machining and assembly operations on the production floor. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will coach and develop exempt and non-exempt staff, plan staffing and schedules, and drive continuous improvement using standard work, 5S, Kanban, and value-stream mapping. On-site role with strong collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Five or more years of manufacturing operations experience.
• At least three years of leadership experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting or leading CNC machining and assembly operations.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Strong coaching, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily CNC machining and assembly operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Plan work schedules, staffing, assignments, and production sequences based on customer demand and available resources.
• Spend approximately 90% of working time on the manufacturing floor, supporting employees and operations.
• Monitor production performance, inventory levels, labor utilization, and product quality.
• Review production schedules, work orders, reports, and operating data to identify issues and improve results.
• Maintain accurate production and personnel records.
• Implement and consistently apply company policies, work rules, and safety and environmental requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement activities using tools such as standard work, 5S, Kanban, value-stream mapping, and practical problem-solving.
• Identify production concerns and work with the team to develop effective solutions.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to improve manufacturing performance.
