Fill-Rite is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee CNC machining and assembly operations. This position provides hands-on leadership to both exempt and non-exempt employees and is responsible for building a safe, engaged, and high-performing team.
The ideal candidate is a strong manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the production floor, developing employees, solving problems, and improving operational performance.
- Lead daily CNC machining and assembly operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
- Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Plan work schedules, staffing, assignments, and production sequences based on customer demand and available resources.
- Spend approximately 90% of working time on the manufacturing floor, supporting employees and operations.
Operational Performance
- Monitor production performance, inventory levels, labor utilization, and product quality.
- Review production schedules, work orders, reports, and operating data to identify issues and improve results.
- Maintain accurate production and personnel records.
- Implement and consistently apply company policies, work rules, and safety and environmental requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement activities using tools such as standard work, 5S, Kanban, value-stream mapping, and practical problem-solving.
- Identify production concerns and work with the team to develop effective solutions.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to improve manufacturing performance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Five or more years of manufacturing operations experience.
- At least three years of leadership experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting or leading CNC machining and assembly operations.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise both exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Strong coaching, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position works on-site in a manufacturing environment and requires regular interaction with employees and equipment on the production floor.
- Remain on their feet for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
- Maneuver around, under, and near factory machinery.
- Work in a manufacturing environment where there may be exposure to fuel, mineral spirits, adhesives, paint, sealants, and related fumes.
