Job summary

Arlington Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep apartments market-ready across our Hoover communities. You’ll perform general maintenance, handle work orders, and assist with preventive tasks.

This role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, safety, and strong communication with residents and teammates. A HS diploma and 1–5 years experience are preferred; EPA cert is a plus; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in at least one major trade (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.).
• EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Prep vacant apartments to market-ready condition.
• Handle work orders with skill, urgency, and a smile.
• Perform general maintenance including light plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC support, and appliance repair.
• Keep grounds and common areas clean and inviting.
• Support preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Pitch in with snow removal, pool upkeep, and seasonal tasks.
• Stay alert and on-call for emergency maintenance needs.
• Work safely, efficiently, and with pride—because your work matters.
