Job summary

James Hardie Building Products Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a 24/7 PVC extrusion operation, guiding a team of about 15 maintenance professionals on the plant floor. The role emphasizes safe maintenance practices, reliability, and hands‑on leadership.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of maintenance experience, 3+ years in leadership, and strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Extrusion or plastics experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
7+ years of maintenance experience.
3+ years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience with extrusion, plastics or continuous‑process manufacturing is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a team of ~15‑16 maintenance professionals on a 24/7 operation.
Champion safe maintenance practices, including energy control and Lockout/Tagout.
Serve as a hands‑on working supervisor on the plant floor.
Drive preventive maintenance, equipment reliability and downtime reduction.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and prioritize maintenance work.
Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability for expanded capacity.
