Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for the PVC C crew on the 6:45PM–7:00AM shift. The role focuses on keeping production lines and equipment up and running, with strong emphasis on guarding, safety, and energy isolation procedures.

A multi-craft background and plant experience are valued. Candidates should have 5–7 years in a similar role, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant maintenance certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years of experience in a similar position required.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Completion of two-year Maintenance Certification course preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• Work schedule flexibility for 24/7 manufacturing.
• Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude; PLC knowledge
• Ohio HVAC or Refrigeration licenses or related certifications accepted.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production lines and equipment to run at all times.
• Maintain guarding and safety equipment on all production lines.
• Lock out/Tag out procedures on all lines; isolate energy with lock and photo ID.
• May support preventative maintenance on shift.
• Visit white board for daily tasks and record work.
• Assist in line commissioning after maintenance/events.
• Assist with other plant projects as needed.
• Work in Rail, PVC or Wood Plant with minimal instruction.
• Perform duties as assigned.
