SteveRecruiter, LLC in Phoenix is seeking a hands-on Tax Manager to own the income tax function. You will lead the tax provision process for financial reporting, oversee return prep with external preparers and internal staff, and coach a team of tax accountants.

You will map, design and re-engineer tax processes to improve efficiency, controls and metrics, respond to tax authority notices, and collaborate with internal and external auditors to strengthen compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 6+ years of tax experience in public accounting or corporate environment.
• Strong federal, state, and local tax knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Organizational and analytical skills with strong communication abilities.
• Motivated, take-charge attitude.
• Plus: CPA, Master's in Taxation, or industry experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop tax accountants through coaching, supervision and feedback.
• Own the quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision.
• Oversee federal and state income tax return calculations and filings.
• Review FIN 48 and UNICAP positions.
• Respond to notices and inquiries from taxing authorities.
• Work with internal and external auditors.
• Research and deliver tax information for management and outside parties.
• Support related areas such as sales, property, payroll tax and incentives.
• Map and re-engineer tax processes to improve efficiency, controls and metrics.
