Job summary

GE Vernova Bangor, ME, seeks a hands-on CNC programmer to translate engineering specs into repeatable production processes. You will write and optimize CNC programs, troubleshoot on the shop floor, and help bring new products from concept to production with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on CNC programming experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine.
• Strong oral and written communication with high attention to detail.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and NC programming/CAM software.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and optimize CNC programs for new and existing parts.
• Define and control production processes, including tooling and equipment.
• Validate design specs against shop floor capability for new products.
• Support NPI by developing manufacturing methods meeting SQDC goals.
• Troubleshoot CNC processes and resolve production issues on the floor.
• Participate in Lean Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
