Job summary

GE Vernova in Bangor, Maine is seeking a hands-on CNC programmer to translate engineering specs into reliable production processes. You will write, test, and optimize CNC programs, define tooling, and troubleshoot on the shop floor to support new product introductions and Lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university, or 4+ years of manufacturing or operations experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on CNC programming experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and optimize CNC programs for new and existing production parts.
• Define and control production processes, including tooling and equipment selection.
• Validate design specifications against shop floor capability for new products, tools, or equipment.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by developing manufacturing methods that meet SQDC goals.
• Troubleshoot CNC processes and resolve production issues using hands-on problem-solving.
• Participate in monthly Lean Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement across the production line.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure your work supports broader site goals.
