Job summary

GE Vernova in Bangor, Maine is seeking a hands-on CNC programmer to translate engineering specs into reliable production processes. You will write and optimize CNC programs, troubleshoot on the shop floor, and help introduce new products from concept to full production alongside a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates have a engineering degree or equivalent experience, at least one year of CNC programming, and are authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience with 4+ years in manufacturing.
• Minimum 1 year hands-on CNC programming experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and optimize CNC programs for new and existing production parts.
• Define and control production processes, including tooling and equipment selection.
• Validate design specifications against shop floor capability for new products, tools, or equipment.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by developing manufacturing methods that meet SQDC goals.
• Troubleshoot CNC processes and resolve production issues on the shop floor.
• Participate in Lean Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement on the production line.
