Job summary

GE Vernova in Bangor, Maine is seeking a hands-on CNC Programmer to translate engineering specs into reliable production processes. You will write and optimize CNC programs, troubleshoot on the shop floor, and assist in taking new products from concept to full production with a collaborative team.

The role requires 1+ year CNC programming, a engineering degree or equivalent experience, and the ability to work 100% onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience with 4+ years in manufacturing.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on CNC programming experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Bangor, ME.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and optimize CNC programs for new and existing parts.
• Define and control production processes, including tooling and equipment selection.
• Validate design specifications against shop floor capability for new products, tools, or equipment.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by developing manufacturing methods meeting SQDC goals.
• Troubleshoot CNC processes and resolve production issues on the floor.
• Participate in Lean Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to support site goals.
